Madeleine works across sculpture, sound, video, image, and writing, exploring boundaries and definitions of the body in time and space. She draws on her own body and experiences of dance, illness, and being femme in the world. Her practice often utilises dislocation and fragmentation as a tool, alienating personal materials from their origins, dust from deep under the sofa, hair from her hairbrush, creaking and cracking noises of her joints as she moves.
